About Resurfacing Peels

What are Resurfacing Peels?

Resurfacing peels are advanced dermatological treatments that exfoliate the skin’s surface layers to promote new cell growth and improve skin texture. These chemical peels utilise active ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) to effectively address skin issues like fine lines, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone.

How It Works

During a resurfacing peel, a carefully selected chemical solution is applied to the skin, targeting specific layers to initiate controlled exfoliation. This process helps to remove damaged skin cells and stimulate the production of new, healthy cells. As the outer layers of skin shed, underlying layers are revealed, resulting in a smoother, clearer, and more youthful appearance. The treatment also boosts collagen production, which helps to firm and tighten the skin.

Who are they Suited to?

Resurfacing peels are suitable for individuals looking to enhance their skin’s appearance and address multiple skin concerns. They are particularly effective for:

  • Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Diminishing acne scars and hyperpigmentation
  • Improving skin texture and tone
  • Treating sun-damaged skin
